Township Won’t Oil Gravel Roads

Because of the high cost of oil, the Trenton Township Board has decided not to spread oil on gravel roads for dust control this year.

Board Clerk Linda Brown said unusually wet conditions have resulted in the need for higher expenditures for hauling gravel than anticipated, thus discontinuation of oiling the gravel roads for this year. The action was taken during the township’s June 3 board meeting.
