Man Faces Grundy County Check Charge

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a St. Joseph man for writing a check on a non-existent account.

According to the sheriff’s office, 29-year-old Wayne D. Clabaugh II is charged with passing bad checks: no account in connection with an incident in which he allegedly wrote a $688.54 check to Pamida on a non-existent account at Bank Midwest. Clabaugh remains in jail in lieu of $950 cash bond. He
