City Council OKs Cell Phone Tax Ordinancecs

The Trenton City Council approved ordinances settling agreements with two telecommunications companies and heard several reports during a meeting on Monday night at city hall.

The council accepted ordinances accepting agreements to recover unpaid business license taxes from AT&T Mobility and Sprint. The city of Trenton was among plaintiffs in a class-action lawsuit filed in St. Louis, seeking back payment of the taxes. The city will receive $2,611.72 from Sprint
