County Receives Grant

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has received a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant that will be used to help purchase bullet-resistant vests.

Gov. Matt Blunt has announced that the sheriff’s office is one of 160 local law enforcement agencies to receive the grants, which will be used to help reduce crime and improve public safety. Grundy County’s portion of the $1,015,373 made available is $5,328.
