Ceremonies Mark Start Of Missouri Day Festival

The 2007 Missouri Day Festival officially kicked off activities Thursday night with opening ceremonies at the First Baptist Church.

Rosetta Marsh served as mistress of ceremonies and Phil Schlarb, chairman of the 2007 Sesquicentennial, gave the welcome. He recognized the grand marshals for the Missouri Day Parade, which will be members of the Grundy County History Book Committee and gave a recap of sesquicentennial activities,.
