Fraudulent Traveler’s Checks

Grundy and Daviess county authorities have recently investigated reports of fraudulent traveler’s checks being passed to area businesses.

While it may be difficult to determine if a check is authentic, a valid traveler’s check will have a number on the back that can be called for verification. Business owners are encouraged to call that number if there is any question as to the check’s validity.
