Waiting Period for Marriage Licenses Is Over

Grundy County Recorder of Deeds Charlene Arnold has announced that beginning Aug. 28, couples getting married in Missouri will no longer have to make two trips to the recorder’s office to obtain their marriage license.

Previously, the bride and groom were required to appear before the recorder to make application, wait three days and then make a second trip back to pick up the license prior to their ceremony. Effective
