Newtown-Harris Board Hires Teacher

The Newtown-Harris Board of Education hired a teacher and heard information about several end-of-the-year activities during a meeting on Monday night.

According to information provided by Superintendent Andy Anderson, Jerry Kiger was hired as social studies teacher for the 2007-2008 school year. He will teach in grades seven through 12.
The board approved a list of nine seniors for graduation and 10 eighth graders for promotion to the high school.
