County Commission OKs Tax Levy

The Grundy County Commission set the county tax levy on a 2-1 vote and officially certified a tax issue to be placed on the November ballot during its meeting held Tuesday.

The commission voted 2-1, with Presiding Commissioner Kenny Roberts voting no, to set the tax levy at .1480 on the $100 assessed valuation. The levy, which was .1270 last year, could have been set at a maximum of .1640.
