Council Split Over Approval Of Breed-Specific Dog Ban Ordinance

There was a standing-room only crowd at Monday night’s meeting of the Trenton City Council, where council members passed a breed-specific dog ordinance after hearing from members of the public who were in opposition to it.

On a 6-2 vote, the council approved an ordinance that would  prohibit within the city limits any Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Chow-Chow, Akita or Doberman Pinscher that is not registered within the city by Aug.
