Presiding Commission Defeated In Primary

There will be a new presiding commissioner in Grundy County on Jan. 1 as local voters have elected a Republican challenger to current commissioner Kenny Roberts.

Rick Hull defeated Roberts by just 30 votes, 746-716, to grab the Republican nomination during Tuesday’s Primary Election. Hull will face Democrat nominee Troy Hanes in the November General Election. Hanes did not have any opposition in the primary race.
